Last week J.R. Donato dropped the single “I Suppose” on iTunes as well as releasing the music video on YouTube. Only his second single on iTunes, but listening to the track it’s easy to tell Donato is a well developed artist. “I Suppose” is a song with a very laid back style. Donato really flexes his ability to flow with melodies and different cadences on this one. He does a phenomenal job of swagging out the words with his flow, giving it that laid back feel. The beat is amazing and really makes this song able to be what it is. The beat is chill, wake up, get high type music. Sledgren produced a gem on this one. The video for the single is awesome as well, Donato’s good vibes practically come through the screen. The way he’s bouncing and dancing as he delivers his lyrics, shows so much happiness and matches the song’s cool demeanor. The setting of the video is ill. J.R. is on the same couch in a bunch different locations with different people. He’s seen in some places way out in the cut and some just around or in the house. He has a location with Wiz, one with a gorgeous masked female, one with Wiz and Ricky P, and one with Ricky P in a cleaning product isle. This video is another example of how close Taylor Gang really is. When I watch this video I can tell these guys are out there having a good time and enjoying themselves. The good vibes come right through the music and videos. J.R. Donato definitely struck gold with this one. Overall this is one of my favorite if not my new favorite J.R. Donato song.
