French Montana dropped another mixtape this week as we await the long-delayed album “Mac & Cheese 4“. “Casino Life 2: Brown Bag Legend” is a dope project with lots of notable names on the list of featured artists. The mixtapes has features from the likes of Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Migos, Travi$ Scott,  Lil Durk, Will.i.am, and Curren$y. The features are reason enough to give the project a listen. French also made sure he’d have great production on the tape, getting producers like 808 Mafia, Southside, TM88, and Young Chop. This wasn’t a tape I was waiting on, persae, however after seeing everyone featured on it, I had to give it a listen and I’m glad I did. French brought his unique, ‘Coke Boy’ style to this one. The project is almost put together like an album more than a mixtape with the way the songs are put together. These aren’t just mixtape jams, there is potential for some singles off of this mixtape. Chris Brown finessed the hook on “Moses” beautifully. French Montana and Migos flow nicely through the verses. “Moses” could be a song to get rotation and will more than likely bang through the clubs. “Yay Yay” is a smooth, trapped out club jam with a catchy vibe to it. Something I could see playing in the club or booming through the underground. Females will dig this one. “Ain’t Nuttin” with Rick Ross is my kind of song. That pimp type jam, styling and flexing. This a jam I expect people to be booming and their car. “5 Mo” is a dope ass raw banger. It comes across a lot more raw than the other songs on the tape. TM808 gave French the perfect beat to get Travi$ Scott on. Chop Squad DJ whipped up a fly ass beat for “Gangsta“. When I think of French Montana I think of a song like this. “Gangsta” is a dope banger, with that unique ‘Coke Boy’ flow talking shit. “Too Each His Own” might be my favorite jam on the tape. Danny Boy Styles produced an amazing beat with an inspirational feel to it. Montana laced the verses up with his nice flow. This song has strong single potential in my opinion. This is the type of song sold to PPV’s like for WWE. I think “To Each His Own” has potential to do big things. This project is simply great. There are just too many dope tracks on this one to review them all. You’re gonna have to get the tape for yourself, which I suggest you do… This is a very well put together project French Montana definitely came through on this one. “Casino Life 2: Brown Bag Legend” is a hot mixtape, filled with bangers and hot jams. It’s perfect to build hype for his delayed, but upcoming album.
