“Straight Outta Compton” is an amazing glance into rap history. Telling the story of legendary N.W.A. Words can’t express how well this movie plays. From the script to the actors the movie just feels real. From the studio footage of the group making music, to the politics of the police brutality we are still experiencing. As a rap fan, reliving Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Ice Cube, and MC Ren’s story is amazing. Seeing great come-ups like Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, and feeling the tragedy of Eazy-E’s passing, it’s an amazing story to relive. It’s also dope to hear and see the mentions of people like 2Pac, Bone Thug-N-Harmony, and Snoop Dogg. I definitely found myself fanning out the whole movie. I’ve now seen this film 3 times in 24 hours because of how well it plays, by the end you want more and are ready to start it again. I can’t express how great this film is. I strongly encourage any fan of rap and hip-hop or music at all, to check this movie out. It is a must see!
