The Boys are back. After another stint in jail The Trailer Park Boys are back. Season 9 premiered on Netflix a few days ago. The new season is a great addition to the series and is filled with gut-busting classic ‘Trailer Park Boy moments’ from the characters we all love. This season picks up with Ricky and Julian finishing their jail time after a failed drug deal in Season 8’s finale. They return to the park to find a whole new Sunnyvale, Sunnyvale Villas Retirement Home. The boys are shocked to come home to the park that is now set-up like an Assisted Living Community. Inhabited by seniors and missing their way of living the boys set out to get the park back and return it to the Sunnyvalle they love and know so well. When we enter Sunnyvale Villas it’s clear things have changed. A sober Jim Lahey is back with Barb and running the park. A new antagonist has come into the picture with, Colonel Leslie Dancer, the park’s new and sociopathic security guard. Overall the new season was funny with a nice twist in storyline. It was refreshing to not see the same old pattern that each season normally holds. However I felt the quality in the comedy has fallen. This is something I noticed since “The Boys” took over production after Season 7. Seasons 1-9 are available on Netflix.
Trailer Park Boys Season 9: 7.5/10
