BET drama series “Being Mary Jane” returns for season two. Mary Jane Paul tries to put the pieces of her heart back together as she seeks closure from the relationship with David.
Gabrielle Union stars as Mary Jane Paul a successful news anchor who seems to have it all except for the husband and children. Season two opens with Mary Jane coming back to reality as season one ended with her giving David the sperm she “stole” from him to have his child. 
Nothing cures anger except the satisfaction of destroying some things. Having a few friends over for dinner and drinks, Mary Jane get’s a little drunk –You know how they say a drunk mind speaks sober thoughts, this is that moment. Jealous of her friend Val and her husband, she becomes defensive and insults her. While Val and her husband are friends of David’s , Mary Jane won’t stop pestering them to get answers about David and his new girlfriend.
Niecey has just had baby number two, and she has yet to move out of her Grandmother’s house or find a job, and her Grandmother sure does tell her about herself. 3am rolls around and Niecey finds herself at the bus stop with her children and calls her aunt Mary Jane to stay at her house.
Nothing says you miss someone more than reading old text messages, ladies we can relate for sure. Whether you’re mad at the one you’re with or you have just broken up with that significant other. Reading old texts make keep you from calling that one guy for the time being. But for Mary Jane she accidentally pocket dials David–of course she doesn’t say anything….
Until she shows up to David’s friends house unannounced to get answers, after she seen a new article of David as a “rising star” after selling his business for 12 Million dollars. She wants to know if he’s engaged, married, why he moved in with his girlfriend, though his friends loyalty lies with him they refuse to give Mary Jane the answers she seeks. Why not just call David?! Which leads to Mary Jane inviting David over to a hotel she got for the night and he answers all of her questions- honestly.
News to us, Mary Jane and David once were expecting but because of the circumstances they were under, financially not stable, she got an abortion.
