This week Raz Simone released his newest mixtape, “Baby Jesus“. A dope project with 7 tracks. Raz has had his buzz going on for a while now, between other mixtapes and his YouTube presence. The songs on “Baby Jesus” range from heart felt and emotional jams like “Hallelujah”, to more thugged out jams like, “That Ain’t Love”. The project features verses from Pusha T and Leezy Soprano, who both kill their verses.

Raz does a great job mixing his lyrical abilities with groovy melodies making for very catchy jams. Not to mention the tape opens with a quote from, “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby“. Which obviously earns Raz bonus points. Overall, “Baby Jesus” sets a great tone for what could lie in the future for Raz Simone and his unique abilities.

Overall: 8/10
