Two big games on Saturday, kicking off the NFL postseason is the Kansas City Chiefs at the Houston Texans. Now both teams records can be deceiving because the red-hot KC Chiefs have been on a ten (10) game winning streak to come into the playoffs. While the Texans have went on a strong 7-2 start for the second half of the season and also win their division. Here is my prediction for this game:

Kansas City
Chiefs
Houston
Texans

Keys to KC Winning:

  • Protect the ball
  • Take advantage of every red zone opportunity
  • Force HOU QB to make mistakes

Keys to HOU Winning:

  • Get the ball to #10
  • Don’t turn the ball over
  • Pressure Alex Smith

Prediction: Chiefs 21, Texans 17

This primetime matchup between AFC North rivals is a big one, with a lot being on the line. Everyone knows this is a one and done game, but deeper than that is the Bengals coming into this game as division champions still without their starting quarterback and without a single postseason win. On the other side of the ball are the Pittsburgh Steelers who have a red hot offense and despite their success on offense they come into this game without their starting running backs (Le’Veon Bell – IR, DeAngelo Williams – Day To Day). Here are my predictions for this game:

Pittsburgh
Steelers
Cincinnati
Bengals

Keys to PIT winning:

  • Big Ben play smart, don’t force it
  • Air it out, Spread out the offense
  • Force the rookie QB to make mistakes

Keys to CIN winning:

  • McCarron has to show poise
  • Balance out the offensive attack, keep the Steelers offense on the sideline
  • Pressure Big Ben into quick passes

Prediction: Steelers 24, Bengals 21
