When a focus group reveals trouble for Talk Back, Kara does her best to protect Mary Jane. Niecy shields Treyvion and herself from getting attached to his father, Cameron, when he unexpectedly returns from college. Patrick struggles to find balance between work and family while Mary Jane scores her first meeting with Sheldon DeWitt.
Trouble in demographic ratings, the producers weigh in on a focus group for Mary Jane’s show which leaves Kara in an akward position not to mention the news to her which could hender their friendship but also the future of her talk show.
Niecy get’s herself in trouble thinking it was okay to bring her baby’s father to Mary Jane’s house to catch up on lost time when Mary Jane walks in on them in her bedroom. The incident leads Niecy to call her grandfather to pick her up so that she can move back in with him, but Mary Jane doesn’t let her leave without hearing what’s on her mind, both putting each other under the bus.
A pop up visit from Sheldon Dewitt leaves Mary Jane speechless and caught up in the moment. The meeting leads to Sheldon wanting to use her show to reach women. Mary Jane would be the first to have sat down with him being as though he does not do interviews.
